The Experience of Vystopia: Enemy or Hidden Asset?” — The Vegan as Futurist Part Two
“Vystopia: The Vegan as Futurist” with Clare Mann and Bel Jacobs explores how emotional insight can guide more grounded and compassionate advocacy. Through reflective dialogue, the speakers unpack how Vystopia—often experienced as grief or overwhelm—can evolve into clarity, resilience, and purposeful action.
Following the deeply resonant response to Episode 7, Episode 8, Part 2 continues the Vystopia series by exploring how emotional insight from being vegan in a non-vegan world can be transformed into grounded, compassionate action and multispecies advocacy.
The event also includes a trailer of The Empathy Project, highlighting the work of Tristan Copley Smith, Director of the project, and Bel Jacobs, whose contributions deepen the conversation around empathy, grief, and imagining compassionate futures.
With a blend of lived experience, psychological understanding, and creative futurism, this session encourages advocates to move toward clarity, purpose, and compassionate communication.
