Who has inspired or supported you in your plant-based journey?
a friend who is 78 now, the books that I have read, Raw Kristina, Loren Lockman, Novak Djokovic, my mom who is 94, people that live off grid, Barbara O'Neil, and people that have not awakened to the truth as they inspire me to continue with my purpose of love, life and light.
Which books or documentaries have inspired or supported you in your journey?
I say visit nature, have a garden, be ok with yourself, find time to write down what is important to you. After you do this the universe will bring the people to you that you need and will help you to mature. This will be found in books, documentaries, podcasts, and people that are in your physical reach. They may be the very people that make you stronger just because of their energy, thoughts and body language. Take the good and leave behind the things that do not promote love, life and light.
What are some of the other lifestyle changes you made to help you thrive?
i do not have a TV, I wear cottom when possible, dresses mostly non fitting, shoes are flat, no makeup on face, no hair products except for vegan shampoo and conditioner, no tattoo, no polish on nails, metal has been removed from my mouth, continue to exercise no manner your age, no doctors to influence my health, trampolining for the lymphs system, continue to keep my house in order and clean no manner my age, wash my car, use a solar system, going to bed early and rising early, personal products for body and home plant-based, buy organic produce when available, decreased the amount of spices in food, drink water, drink water, drink water-reversed osmosis, eat plenty of fruit and vegtables raw, improve communication, be open to learning new things about myself, plants, animals and people in general, and the biggest change know when to let go of people, hobbies, things that interfer with health, longevity and my purpose in life.
Where do you think you would be now if you hadn’t switched to vegan or WFPB lifestyle?
The food helped me to go in the right direction to meet other people on a journey like mine, however, your state of mind has to be changed to healthy thinking or you will slip back to old ways, I know this because many times I have failed only to picked myself back up and be so thankful for another new day. I would be like my parents and siblings. They are alcoholics, meat eaters, over excessive in many way, behavior that causes dependency, disease, and mental torment.
What inspired you to make a change?
Seeing all the negative and disease that did not change with medications or religion. We are given freedom to choose but we are not free from the consequences. Go against nature and you will have disease and sickness. I wanted to know truth no manner how hard it sounded at first to do; but knowing the end would bring peace, love, happiness and joy. I was crowned Mrs. Louisiana in 1974 so outward beauty, cosmetics were a must for me. At 32, moving to Michigan away from all my friends and family, change was on its way. I was at a crossroads in my life and how was I to continue? No alcohol and vegetarian!
If you were to offer a hopeful, positive, and supportive message to those considering a plant-based lifestyle, it would be…
We all are in cycles that were not the best choices that you are born into and are now expierencing the consequence. Change what you can change and be patient with yourself so that you can be patient with others that need to change also. love yourself and the body that you have been given by eating more foods that have life, looking at inspirational podcasts or documentaries, reading over and over books that inspire you to continue life's path and being around uplifting people. Remember "do no harm to anyone or anything" that includes yourself, your house, car, property and the animal kingdom.
