Hippocrates Docs welcomes Dr. Ellen Albertson who provides us with a quick, simple, and easy way to transform your eating habits and your waistline. She shows us how to know what our body really needs and the wonderful things about mindful eating that create improved health, preventing & reversing cancer, permanent weight loss and more energy. All of these things are essential as you move through or want to thrive after a breast cancer diagnosis. Your Challenge: Try mindful eating. Eat at least one mindful meal each day. Observe the results when you slow down, taste, touch, smell, and hear things differently as you eat more mindfully. Dr. Albertson recently joined Hippocrates Docs in collaboration with Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (“PCRM”) to share, connect, and give you answers in her Dialogue segment of the Radiant Health Dialogues Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention SUMMIT: “Beat Breast Cancer: Love Yourself to Health.” Dr. Ellen Albertson is a PhD Psychologist, Registered Dietitian, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Reiki Master and Mindful Self-compassion Teacher. As The Midlife Whisperer™, she empowers women to get unstuck and find the confidence, energy and clarity to make their next chapter their best chapter. Dr. Albertson is a Celebrity Plant-Based Chef, was the online nutrition expert for Women’s Health, Men’s Health and the Abs Diet and has had appearances on Extra, the Food Network and NBC World News to talk about nutrition and a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle. She’s worked with hundreds of people who often approach the change in lifestyle from a place of body shame, fear (of disease) and confusion (there is so much diet misinformation). Her goal is to inspire people to approach lifestyle change from a loving, joyful place and have specific action steps to take to gradually transform habits permanently. Through her continued involvement with clients, she teaches people lifestyle modifications, including nutrition and how important it is in preventing breast disease, as well as reversing all types of chronic, immune and inflammatory disease.
